Malpua

Ingredients:

8tbsp maida(plain flour)
2tbsp suji(semolina)
1/4tsp baking powder
3-4tbsp malai
1/2cup milk(approx)
seeds of 2 chotti illaichi crushed(green cardamom)
2tbsp desi ghee
1/2tsp sesame seeds
5-6 pistas for decoration

Sugar syrup:
1/3cup sugar
1/2cup water
2 green cardamom crushed

Method:
*Mix maida,suji,baking powder and malai in bowl.
*Add milk gradually,mixing well,to get batter of soft dropping consistency,almost like thick pouring consistency.
*Add cardomom & beat well with spoon for 2 min.Keep aside.
*Prepare sugar syruo by boiling sugar,water and cardamom in a pan.After the syrup boils,keep on low heat for 5 min.Remove from heat and keep aside.
*To prepare malpuas heat nonstick tawa.Reduce flame.Spread 1tsp ghee on it.
*Drop 1 tbsp full of batter and spread it gently to small disc.Put more spoons of batter spacing them apart.Keep the flame low.
*Sprinkle some sesame seeds on it.Pour 1/2tsp melted ghee on each pua.
*Cook on medium heat till edges turn brown.Turn the puas and cook till the other side also gots brown.
*Put half of the puas in hot sugar syrup and keep it soaked for 2 min.Transfer to serving platter.Soak the left puas also.Keep syrup aside in bowl.
*Garnish with nuts.
*At serving time,pour the leftover syrup with a spoon on the puas.Warm in an oven or microwave.
