Panchratni Dal
Ingredients:
3tbsp urad dal
3tbsp arhar dal
3tbsp chane ki dal
3tbsp moong dal
3tbsp masoor dal
4tbsp oil
1tsp rai(mustard seeds)
1tsp zeera(cumin seeds)
2 laung(cloves)
few curry leaves
2 dry red chillies broken
2 green chillies chopped
1/2" ginger piece chopped
1/2" dalchini stick
3 tomatoes chopped
1/2 tsp garam masala
1tsp chopped corriander
juice of 1/2 lemon
Method:
*Clean wash dals.Pressure cook dals together with 31/2 cups of water and 11/2 tsp of salt approx.
*After first whistle keep on low heat for 5-7 min.
*Collect mustard seeds,zeera,dalchini and laung together.
*Heat oil.Add collected zeera etc. .Cook for few seconds.
*Add ginger,curry leaves.red and green chillies.Fry for few seconds.
*Add tomatoes and garam masala and cook for 1-2 minutes.
*Add this oil to the dal.Add corriander also.
*Bring dal to boil keep on slow fire for 2-3 min.
*Add lemon juice mix well.
*Serve hot.
