Apple Stew With Rabri

Ingredients to stew apples:
3apples
3cup water
4tbsp sugar
1tsp lemon juice
1/2stick cinnamon

Ingredients for custard:
3cup apple syrup
3tbsp sugar
3tbsp custard powder

Ingredients for rabri:
1/2kg milk
4tbsp milk powder
21/2tbsp sugar
2tbsp fresh malai
a few pistachio
silver leaf optional

Method for rabri:
*Boil milk in pan.
*Mix milk powder in a little hot milk so that it is lumpy and not smooth.
*Add milk powder paste,sugar and malai to the milk in pan.
*Cook for 30 min on low heat till it turns thick.Cool.Serve chilled in seperate dish,decorated with shredded pistachio and silver leaf.

Method to stew apples:
*Peel apples.Cut into equal halves.Remove seeds.
*Boil water with sugar,lemon juice and cinnamon.
*Add apple pieces.Cook covered for 3-4 min. till apples turn soft.
*Remove the apples from the syrup and transfer the apples to a dish.Reserve the syrup.Strain the syrup and keep aside.

Method for custard:
*Dissolve custard powder in 1/2 cup water.
*Boil the left over syrup with sugar.
*Add the dissolved custard,stirring continously.
*Boil till translucent and slightly thick(5-6 min.)
*Pour over serving dish.Chill.Sprinkle shredded pista in the centre of each apple.
*Serve with rabri.
